Công thứcgốc futur + đuôi imparfait: -ais, -ais, -ait, -ions, -iez, -aient
Giải thích
Cấu tạo: lấy đúng gốc futur (parler-, ser-, aur-, pourr-, voudr-…) rồi thêm đuôi imparfait: je voudrais, tu pourrais, nous aimerions. Dùng để nhờ vả lịch sự (Pourriez-vous m'aider ?), nói mong muốn (J'aimerais voyager), khuyên (Tu devrais dormir plus). Lỗi người Việt hay mắc: vào quán nói «Je veux un café» — đúng ngữ pháp nhưng nghe cộc, nên nói «Je voudrais un café»; và nhầm đuôi -ais (conditionnel) với -ai (futur) vì đọc gần giống nhau.
